Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, members of the judging panel, individuals materially involved in administering the Contest, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to receive the prize.
"Immediate family" means spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside.
4. Who May Submit a Nomination
An individual may:
• Nominate themselves; or
• Nominate another eligible individual.
A person nominating another individual represents that the information submitted is truthful to the best of the nominator's knowledge.
Nomination of another individual does not by itself authorize Sponsor to publicly disclose that person's breast cancer diagnosis, story, photograph, medical information, or identity.
Sponsor will obtain appropriate permission from a nominee before publicly identifying the nominee in connection with the Contest.
5. How to Enter
During the Contest Period, visit THIS LINK and complete the official nomination form.
The nomination form will request information including:
• Nominator's name and contact information;
• Nominee's name;
• Nominee's Massachusetts city or town;
• Nominator's relationship to the nominee;
• Confirmation that the nominee meets the eligibility requirements; and

Sponsor may reject nominations that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, automated, generated in bulk, materially inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise fail to comply with these Official Rules.
6. Please Do Not Submit Medical Records
Entrants and nominees should NOT submit medical records, treatment records, pathology reports, insurance records, photographs of medical documents, or other confidential medical documentation as part of the initial nomination.
The nomination story may discuss the nominee's experience to the extent the nominator or self-nominee chooses, but detailed medical information is neither requested nor considered necessary.
If a potential recipient is selected, Sponsor will privately request only the information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility.
7. Judging and Selection
This Contest is based on judging and is not a random drawing.
After the Contest Period closes, eligible nominations will be evaluated by a judging panel designated by Sponsor.
Eligible nominations will be evaluated using the following criteria:
Meaning and potential impact of the getaway — 40%
How clearly the nomination communicates why this experience would be meaningful to the nominee at this point in their life.
Nomination story and personal impact — 30%
The thoughtfulness, authenticity and overall impact of the nomination.
Resilience, hope and/or positive impact — 20%
How the nomination communicates the nominee's resilience, hope, strength, or positive impact on the people around them.
Thoughtfulness and completeness — 10%
The care, clarity and completeness demonstrated in the nomination.
The nominee receiving the highest overall judging score will be designated the potential recipient, subject to verification.
In the event of a tie, the nominee receiving the higher score in "Meaning and potential impact of the getaway" will be ranked higher. If a tie remains, the judging panel will compare the tied nominations using the remaining judging criteria in descending order of weight.
Sponsor and the judging panel will not award additional points based on the severity or stage of a nominee's cancer, type or length of treatment, financial resources, number of surgeries, or other sensitive medical circumstances.
The decisions of the judging panel are final, subject to applicable law.
8. Potential Recipient Notification
Sponsor will privately contact the potential recipient using the contact information available through the nomination.
If another person submitted the nomination, Sponsor may first contact the nominator to obtain appropriate contact information for the nominee.
The potential recipient must affirmatively agree to participate before Sponsor publicly identifies them.
Sponsor may require the potential recipient to respond and complete eligibility verification within ten (10) business days after notification.
If the potential recipient:
• Cannot be contacted;
• Declines the prize;
• Does not respond within the required period;
• Does not meet the eligibility requirements;
• Does not provide reasonable eligibility verification; or
• Is otherwise disqualified under these Official Rules,
Sponsor may designate the next highest-scoring eligible nominee as an alternate potential recipient.
9. Eligibility Verification
Before awarding the prize, Sponsor may require reasonable verification of:
• Identity;
• Age;
• Massachusetts residency; and
• Prior breast cancer diagnosis.
Identity, age and residency may be verified through a government-issued identification or other reasonable documentation.
Sponsor will seek to verify breast cancer eligibility in a manner that minimizes the collection of sensitive medical information.
Acceptable verification may include a brief signed confirmation from a licensed healthcare provider or cancer treatment facility stating only that the individual has previously been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sponsor may approve another reasonably reliable form of verification on a case-by-case basis.
Sponsor does not require a nominee to provide complete medical records, detailed treatment history, genetic information, pathology reports, insurance information, or other unrelated health information.
Verification information will not be considered by the judges and will not affect the nominee's judging score.
10. Prize
PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive an $1,800 gift card to Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts, which may be applied toward eligible goods and services at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club.

The gift card cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards or to secure reservations. Reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card.
The gift card is subject to all applicable terms, conditions, restrictions, and policies established by Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club. Sponsor does not control and is not responsible for the availability of accommodations, reservation requirements, rates, blackout dates or other restrictions or policies imposed by Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club.

The recipient is solely responsible for any federal, state or local taxes resulting from acceptance or use of the prize.
Sponsor may require completion of tax documentation if required by applicable law.
12. Privacy and Medical Information
Sponsor recognizes that information concerning a breast cancer diagnosis is sensitive.
Information submitted through the nomination process will be used for purposes reasonably related to administering the Contest, including evaluating nominations, contacting nominees and nominators, preventing fraud, verifying eligibility, awarding the prize, and complying with applicable law.
Medical verification information will:
• Be requested only from a potential recipient when reasonably necessary;
• Not be provided to the judging panel;
• Not be used for advertising or marketing;
• Not be sold;
• Not be publicly disclosed without the individual's express permission; and
• Be securely deleted or destroyed after eligibility verification and any reasonably necessary administrative retention period, except to the extent retention is required by law.
Sponsor should limit access to verification information to personnel who reasonably need access to administer eligibility verification.
13. Publicity and Permission
Entering or being nominated does NOT automatically authorize Sponsor to publicly disclose a nominee's breast cancer diagnosis, medical information, photograph, nomination story, or other sensitive personal information.
Before publicly featuring a recipient or nominee, Sponsor will obtain separate permission identifying the information and materials Sponsor is authorized to use.
A nominee's decision not to permit use of detailed medical information will not disqualify the nominee, provided Sponsor can reasonably verify eligibility.
Sponsor may require reasonable permission to announce the recipient's name and Massachusetts city or town to the extent necessary to administer the Contest or comply with applicable prize-promotion requirements.
Any broader advertising, testimonial, photograph, video, social-media, or promotional use will be addressed through a separate authorization.
14. Fraud and Integrity of the Contest
Sponsor may investigate suspected fraud or manipulation.
Grounds for disqualification may include:
• Providing materially false eligibility information;
• Falsifying a breast cancer diagnosis;
• Impersonating another person;
• Submitting fabricated supporting documentation;
• Using automated systems to generate or submit nominations;
• Tampering with the entry process;
• Attempting to improperly influence a judge; or
• Otherwise interfering with the fair administration of the Contest.
Sponsor may request additional reasonable verification when there is a legitimate question concerning eligibility or authenticity.
15. Nomination Content
The nominator represents that, to the best of their knowledge, the factual statements contained in the nomination are truthful.
Nominators should avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about nominees.
Sponsor may remove from consideration content that is threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, unlawfully obtained, or that materially invades another person's privacy.
Sponsor may also contact a nominee to confirm that they wish to participate before their nomination advances further.
16. Technical Problems and Cancellation
Sponsor is not responsible for nominations that are lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, or not received because of technical failures outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
If fraud, technical failure, natural disaster, legal restriction, or another circumstance outside Sponsor's reasonable control materially affects the integrity or feasibility of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to suspend, modify, extend, or cancel the Contest.
Sponsor will not use this provision to unfairly avoid awarding an otherwise properly earned prize.
17. Release
To the extent permitted by law, by accepting the prize, the recipient agrees to release Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees and agents from claims arising directly from acceptance or use of the prize, except for claims that cannot lawfully be waived.
Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under Massachusetts law.
18. Governing Law
The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
