Patrick

Patrick started in the automotive business in high school pumping gas for his uncle, who owned a large repair shop and gas station back when full service meant full service! If every car that came in for gas didn’t get the windshield washed and “squeegeed,” Patrick would hear it from his uncle. He would often check and fill the fluids while the gas was pumping and wash the windshield before the “click” of the gas pump shutting off. After graduating high school he enrolled in the General Motors Automotive Technology program at Massachusetts Bay Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Automotive Science. He worked for a large local dealership after graduation and eventually made it back to his uncle's repair shop. When his uncle sold the repair shop, Patrick and his brother Bob, who had been working for his uncle for a few more years than Patrick, decided to strike out on their own and that’s when Grove Street Auto Repair was born. They learned the importance of taking care of people from their uncle who treated every customer as the most important customer. The uncle had a saying: “Every customer is a first class customer” and that stuck with them and still does today.

Mike

Mike

Mike is our youngest ASE Master Technician, a designation achieved through multiple levels of independent ASE testing and a lot of perseverance! He is often one of the last people to leave for the day, staying late to make sure he finishes his last job so our customer can have their car back as soon as possible. His varied experience at both a large chain dealer and a smaller used car dealer has provided him with a background in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of issues.

Waiting at home for him is his one year old Black Lab, Remy! He is ready to play, unless he sees the vacuum which sends him scrambling to get under the sheets to hide! Mostly their adventures together involve a lot of outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. Mike’s family is from the Azores, Portugal, and he visits as often as he can. We are fortunate to have him here as part of our team at Grove Street Auto Repair.

Bill

Bill

Bill has an infectious laugh and we can often hear him across the shop sharing jokes with the rest of the team. He has two sons with his wife, Marie, and an Australian shepard who just turned 6 years old. He says his favorite thing to do on the weekends is rest but we doubt Marie lets him get away with that!

Bill loved working on motorcycles as a teen which led him eventually to working on cars. He has had experience working in some small shops, but several years ago, we were lucky enough to steal him away from a large Toyota dealership where he earned his designation as a hybrid-certified ASE Master Technician.

Eric

Eric

At Grove Street Auto, we highly encourage our technicians to continue to learn, and Eric has taken that to the next level. Another ASE Master Technician, he is a fully-trained EV and Hybrid expert thanks to some intensive off-site training that included Tesla specific training. His passion for learning is demonstrated every day as he tackles some of the most challenging diagnosis issues, many times from other shops that have already tried to repair, and he is always learning new techniques. Although he works on many of our European vehicles, his favorite car to drive is a Jeep Grand Cherokee!

On weekends, Eric likes to travel. If he is at home, you can find him working on a home improvement project or just relaxing. He may decide to ski again this year, he says, an activity he loved as a kid.

Chris

Chris C.

We know Chris is in the house when the music is blaring! He has a very eclectic taste in music so everyone at the shop gets to hear something they like! Chris came to us a few years back with over 20 years of experience working on Subarus, with a little John Deere thrown in as well. He is also another one of our ASE Master Technicians.

He may love the Subarus but his favorite every-day driver is the huge truck he drives to pull his campers, boats and toys. When he is not here working, he is at his campground in New Hampshire or on the lake with his wife and son Andrew.

Bernie

Bernie

After his time in the Army, Bernie gained over 10 years of experience in the auto repair industry at a high volume used car dealership working on all makes and models.  Bernie has always been interested in cars, ever since fixing cars with his friends as a teen. His ability to weld and work expertly on aluminum rims has made him a great team member here at Grove Street Auto!

Bernie’s favorite thing to do is be with his loving family, and if you can’t find him here at the shop, you’ll find him at home with his loved ones, including his adorable Chihuahua “Lucky!” You can also catch him riding his motorcycle or taking a joyride in his Kia Cadenza.

Logan

Logan

Logan is our youngest member of the team and has had a passion for the automotive industry since he was a kid. Taking his grandfather’s experience with helicopters and his father’s expertise with motorcycles, Logan has grown to love working on vehicles, specifically Japanese cars, such as Toyota, Nissan, and Subaru.

On weekends, Logan loves to spend time with his family, especially at the lake. He also takes his expertise into his off-days, often working on his own automotive projects at home.

Steve

Steve

With over 30 years of experience in the automotive field,  Steve is one of our most experienced Technicians here at Grove Street Auto Repair. As a teen, Steve loved to spend time with his friends, working on their cars together and sharing memories. His favorite car brand to work with is Chevrolet, but he also loves to see the old classics!

Outside of work, Steve enjoys working in his yard, doing at home projects like gardening. He also loves to spend time fishing. After work, he goes home to give love to his three cats - Buster, Q, and Princess!

Chris

Chris P.

Chris brings a lot of humor to the workplace! With 40 years of experience working with automobiles, Chris has a vast amount of training not only with working on cars, but also on coaching people and helping them to achieve their goals. His favorite vehicle to drive is actually his golf cart!

As a teen, Chris would perform magic acts in front of lots of people. He went on to marry his high school sweetheart, with whom he has two loving daughters and on the weekends, you can find Chris working in his yard, splitting wood or relaxing with his friends and family.

Tom

Tom

With over 30 years of experience in the field, Tom has been with us at Grove Street Auto Repair since the beginning. He discovered his love for automobiles as a freshman in high school at Tri County Regional High School and has been working on cars ever since. He has the ASE Master Technician designation as well as the ASE L1 advanced level certification which is required to be a Registered Emissions Repair facility for the State of Massachusetts. Tom is our Shop Foreman and the “fixer.” We have yet to see the problem that Tom can’t figure out!!

While Tom loves to work on all makes and models, his favorite vehicle to drive is a motorcycle. His favorite thing to do outside of work is going camping with his family, which includes two kids and two dogs.

Jim

Jim

Jim’s passion for the automotive industry plus 45 years of experience has made him a great asset to our team. With a background in aircraft repair and inspection, alongside years of automotive repair training, Jim’s favorite cars to work with are the old classics.

Outside of work, Jim loves to spend time with family and friends, and has even taught his grandson some automotive repair tips. Jim also has a yellow lab named “Buddy” who one time brought him three tennis balls at once! Jim also loves local blues bands and riding his motorcycle with friends.

Cody

Cody

Cody has 2 ASE’s and is certified to run state inspections on many vehicles, even school buses! He loves to work on Dodges, and has over 13 years of experience.

Cody’s favorite things to do outside of work are going fishing, playing video games, and watching NASCAR. He has a cat named Prince, who was originally named Princess before they rescued him and took him to the vet, learning that he was a male cat!

Jean

Jean

With 18 years of experience working in the office of Grove Street Auto Repair, Jean is a crucial part of our team. She has a degree in accounting, and has gone through many hours of marketing and customer service training. Interacting with our customers has always been one of her favorite parts of her day, and even though she is not sitting in the front office currently, she is still here behind the scenes! Feel free to ask for her next time you are in..

In her free time, she loves to spend time with her loved ones, including her two children and large extended family. With lots of healthcare background, Jean loves to practice both Reiki and Reflexology.

Gina

Gina

One of our service advisors, Gina, has been with us for over a year, working at the front desk. At work, she loves to learn new things every day from her coworkers, and says she has met so many wonderful customers here at Grove Street Auto Repair!

At home, she loves to spend time with her three ferrets - Koopie, Pandi, and Ella - and her loving daughter Lilly. Her favorite things to do on weekends include sleeping in and going on mini adventures with her daughter!

Rich

Rich

With 11 years of experience in the automotive industry, Rich is a very important part of our team. His customer service training and his experience working at a Toyota dealer, a large used car facility, and a tow company has helped him in his journey to be the best Service Advisor he can for the customers of Grove Street Auto Repair.

Outside of work, Rich loves to spend time with his wife and Golden Retriever “Cannoli.” You can find him playing video games on the couch or in the stands at a Bruins game! He loves to work on older cars, specifically a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Dad

Bob Sr.

What would we do without Dad?  At 88 years old, he has been an integral part of our shop since we opened the doors in 1998. Whether it is shuttling customers home and back, picking up parts or performing the Massachusetts State Inspections, he is always there to do whatever is needed. Have any questions about what Franklin was like in the olden days? Ask Bob; he was born and raised in Franklin, only leaving when he was in the Army and stationed in Korea.
