The journey began when Patrick and his brother Bobby worked at their uncle's auto repair shop in Westboro, MA, alongside their three other siblings. In 1998, they decided to venture out on their own, opening a small location at 15 Grove Street in Franklin. As their reputation grew, they outgrew their initial space and constructed a state-of-the-art facility at 79 Grove Street in 2005, enabling them to provide exceptional service and accommodate their expanding clientele.

As a true family business, nearly all of the six Weidman siblings have had a role at Grove Street Auto Repair. Bob Sr., now 88 years old, still contributes three days a week, emphasizing the welcoming and friendly atmosphere that customers appreciate. Longtime employee Tom, who joined the team in 1999, is considered part of the extended family.

Grove Street Auto Repair's success can be attributed to their dedication to customer service and their deep-rooted connection to the Franklin community. The Weidman family's commitment to helping others, instilled from a young age, has translated into a business that goes above and beyond in supporting the local community. They sponsor local sports teams, donate to the food pantry and PTO organizations, and raise funds for charities, particularly those focused on cancer research and support.
